Cast Care
- Keep your cast clean, dry, and intact.
- Place ice behind your knee intermittently to help with pain relief.
- Do not walk on your cast.
- Do not try to remove or alter your cast.
- If you begin to experience calf pain, you should seek medical attention immediately. This could mean that you have a blood clot in your leg. Blood clots can be dangerous. If you believe you have a blood clot, you should report to the emergency room right away for evaluation.
